VGA's 1972 Citabria 7ECA, callsign "Tigerlilly", required maintenance actions in early July 2024 to ensure continued safe flight operations during training events. The maintenance required took approximately 90 days. During that time, Tigerlilly received numerous upgrade to include new fabric and paint. The great Bruce Beard accomplished all required items spectacularly to include hand painting the the black and white checker boards on the tail feathers. Tigerlilly is back in the VGA hangar at KNQA and ready to teach UPRT, Spins, Aerobatics and Tailwheel Landings to pilots pursuing excellence in their flying. Our motto, "Safety through Knowledge, Application and Skill" still stands strong as an industry standard and leader.
We take safety seriously!
